Q: Should i bring my own wet-suit for water sports?
A: Nah, the water is so hot that you will not need any.
Q: Do I need a new cell phone and how about the service and SIM-card?
A: Any GSM cell phone will work. The easiest and cheapest thing to do is to buy a new SIM-card and add credits as you go (Top Up-service) . A company called Digicel provides this service, and you can buy Top Up credits nearly everywhere. Remember that your phone cannot be SIM-locked and that you will get a new local number. Also, remember to bring an adapter for your power chrager. Read more about the subject here.
Q: What kind of power plugs do they use n Barbados?
A: 115V, 50 Hz. North American plugs will get you powered! See picture below (see http://www.adaptelec.com/ for more)

Q: Can I use my Mastercard/Visa card in Barbados?
A: Yes, you can withdraw cash in any bank and even some gas stations. They take any major card type. I encourage you to have at least two cards in case one fails or you reach the monthly withdrawal limit – it happened to me. Remember Barbados is expensive.

Hello precious.
The bus fare is 2 Barbados Dollars = 1 US Dollar. You need at least two fares a day to and from the hospital.
For accommodation you’ll likely pay from 300 USD to 500 USD per month for a room.
The rum is cheap (thank god!), but shopping in the supermarket for every-day items is not cheap at all. The prices were comparable to Scandinavian prices which are considered fairly high.
